Product Care & Repairs
Last updated 12 October 2026
Sterling silver is made to be worn. A little care keeps your Jewelance pieces bright for years. Here is how to look after them, and what to do if something needs attention.
Everyday care
- Put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hair products, and take it off before swimming, bathing or exercise.
- Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove skin oils and keep it bright.
- Avoid contact with chlorine, bleach and household cleaners, which can damage silver.
Storing your jewellery
- Store each piece dry, in a soft pouch or its original box, away from damp and direct sunlight.
- Keep pieces separate so they do not scratch each other or tangle.
- Silver tarnishes more slowly when it is kept in an airtight bag with an anti-tarnish strip.
Cleaning tarnish
Silver naturally darkens over time as it reacts with the air. Light tarnish usually comes off with a silver polishing cloth. For heavier tarnish, use a gentle silver cleaner made for sterling silver and follow its instructions. Avoid harsh scrubbing, and be careful with oxidised or antique-finish pieces, which are meant to look darker and can lose their finish if over-polished.
Pieces with stones
Clean stones with a soft cloth only and avoid soaking them or using strong cleaners, which can loosen settings or dull the stones.
Repairs and resizing
Describe the repair service: what you repair (broken clasps, bent bands, loose stones), whether resizing is offered, turnaround time, cost and warranty. If repairs are not offered yet, say so here.
To ask about a repair, write to jewelanceluxury@gmail.com or call +91 94282 54548 with a photo of the piece and your order number.
